Mastering our emotion state

"We don't see things as they are, but rather as we are"
Anais Nin
This is an extremely helpful lesson i learnt today from Paul Mackenna's book.
Ever been on a same situation with a person but realise that both of you feel different about it?
Its like what i often quote.
"Our view of the world is as unique as our fingerprint"
A image, experience or situation depicts our emotions as we decide whether it is going to be positive or negative.
And from our emotions, it depicts our behaviour and response to the situation.
Very often, everything in the world is neutral. Its the questions we use to ask and the thoughts we allow to flow through that will decide the outcome of our emotions, thus our behaviour and response.
Ever had a thought of maybe say, an impression of a person u have negative feelings about, and as time goes, your impression of him change and, the past image you have of that person no longer trigger the emotion you used to have in the past?
We can program ourselves to think differently of everything and thus control our emotions and response. And i'm trying to apply it in my life, will share more once i learnt how to.:)
